One more note :

Audrey Wheeler was never part of Attitude.
Around the same year that "Pump the Nation" was released, Audrey recorded her vocals for the album "Yes, We're Ready" on Prelude Records,
which is the second project by the group Unlimited Touch, which Audrey joined around 1980/1981 for the selftitled-album of the group.
After Unlimited Touch their second album, the group stopped recording although that 2 Unlimited Touch-tracks ( "Your Love is Serious" and "Yes, I'm Ready" (reprise) ) were released around 1984 on Prelude Records but under the name of Audrey Wheeler.

Around 1985, Audrey did the lead-vocals for Jeff Lorber's "Step by Step" on the Arista-label, and by 1987 she released her first official album on Capitol Records.
One more album followed after that around 1991 on Ear Candy Records.
Audrey married Will Downing, who she met at a recording-session of Will's first recording-group called NV, on Sire Records.

Sorry to have been wandering off the Attitude-subject, but another interesting detail is that before and around the recording of "Pump the Nation",
Cindy Mizelle was part of the female-group called Lemelle, who released about 2 tight groove-jams on Leviticus Records. Worth to check them.

All these mentioned releases here above are documented on this site.

Re-post :

Attitude-member Khris Kellow is the main keyboard/synthplayer on this project, and he is mentioned also as leadsinger.
The other member, Paul Pesco , is the guitarist/vocalist. More additional vocals have been sung by Bernard Fowler, La La, Lisa Fischer and Stephen Miller.
A specific mention about the male-leadvoice on "I Wanna Get to Know You Better" can not be found in the album-credits,
besides that Mic Murphy has mainly been mentioned as producer , together with System-buddy David Frank.
The b-side of the single on this page, "It's Good for Me", is one of my fave jams on the Nationpump-album. A hard synthgroove.

Edit :
It's actually singer Stephen Miller who is the 4th member of the band.
Cindy, Khris and Stephen are the ones pictured on the sleeve.

One of my personal favorites on obscure 80s soul/funk!! ATTITUDE dropped an amazing album called PUMP THE NATION in the early 80s, circa 1982/83, produced by THE SYSTEM and featuring vocals from CINDY MIZELLE & AUDREY WHEELER to name a few. The semi-hit was propulsive electro-funk WE GOT THE JUICE, but the album features great synth-soul grooves like this one, LOVE ME TONIGHT, featuring some lilting, then lung-busting vocals, and I WANNA GET TO KNOW YOU BETTER, featuring THE SYSTEM's MIC MURPHY on lead vocals, so just think of ATTITUDE's debut as the prototype for THE SYSTEM, or vice versa? I wish Atlantic would re-issue this on CD - but I won't hold my breath.
