Sweet Jesus! What a song .
Timeless composition with Phat Grooves no matter what year it is.
One of my All Time Favorite Dance Tracks. Heard this recently dropped on a Function 1 System from Teneglia (2012') and it sounded Bangin! One of those "has to be on Wax" records.

A major management/marketing mistake by Atlantic. Instead of promoting the full length LP version on the promo 12", they decided to remix it into a shorter commercial version that bears only a slight resemblance to the LP version and does not have the distinctive long intro. What were they thinking? The LP version was a big hit in the top NY City clubs in the early-1980s when it was released. DJ's in-the-know played the full length LP version, not the shorter promo 12" version. At a minimum, Atlantic should have put the full length LP version on the other side of the shorter commercial remix to cover both markets with one 12". Fortunately, Atlantic later released a commercial 12" with the full length LP versions of Remember b/w Dream On, another top track from the Face To Face LP.
