Odd that 19 of the 27 tracks begin with the letter 'S'

This is just the regular UK promo CD WITHOUT the front cover. The complete package features a double card sleeve single. The solid red sleeve goes inside the actual cover.

You can choose to buy the US CD on Sire and be robbed of two tracks that appear here. (Yes, the US issue has only ten tracks.)

This, their first studio album of new material in over twenty years is remarkably good—the opening two tracks are great, especially "Down Here On Earth." (a welcome surprise since 1994's "Warped By Success" was sorta lousy).

My copy, purchased in 1988, now has severe disc rot.. completely unlistenable. Luckily, I have the Japan issue, which is completely fine.

The U.S. Warner Bros. CD came and went quickly. My copy says "Made In Japan" on the disc.

Issued as the follow-up to the Top 20 hit “How To Be A Millionaire,” this track received new 7” and 12” remixes specifically for U.S. release. The record label does not acknowledge this, but this version is distinctly different from the album version.

This unique version (detailed below), did resurface on a various artists CD compilation: Time/Life's "Another Lost Decade: Second British Invasion,” released in the U.S. in 2005 by EMI Music Special Markets. That compilation has yet be documented on ... See full review

I have never been able to play CD2 all the way through successfully. Track 16 "Endlessly (Extended Mix)" is utterly hopeless, it skips and stutters and eventually gets stuck and repeats the same milli-second noise.. well, endlessly. I can't copy it ... See full review

I can concur with hotrodjunkie that a few more of these somehow got made, but the front insert is just a digitally-printed insert folded in half (a.k.a. 4 pages, to be generous). The 16-page version is now obviously too extravagant for the 'Gold Legion' ... See full review

'Who'd Believe It?' and 'Up Against It' are the same song/recording. I don't know the reason for the title change on subsequent issues, but owning both the original UK Ghetto CD and the slightly later Germany (3 bonus tracks) issue, I can report that ... See full review

The UK 7" B-side "Massive Reductions" is the original non-LP version, unique to this single. The version that appeared a few years later on 1984 album "Word of Mouth" was a re-recorded (and better) version. This B-side didn't even get released in the ... See full review

Look closely at the OBI, on the front half: side 2: track 3, you can see "83" On the back half, track 7, you can also see an '83.'
So it does not bode well for "Don't Worry" to finally make its CD debut.

And everyone knows this is a very different version from the album? I don't mean remix: it's a different recording. (And it's different from the 'single mix' they put on the Velvel CD reissue of "Preservation Act 2."

Regarding the Radio Edit, instead of bleeping out the 'offensive' MF word three times, St. Vincent sings the words "other sucker" in its place.

Since no one's listed the times for the bonus tracks (or the album either), I'll just mention that these remixes of "Fun" are all around 4 and half minutes long. None of them are the lengthier versions on the 6-track 12".

Inside the gatefold cover, it lists both sides of the bonus single as 12" versions. The Mike Howlett-produced version of "Feel Me' here is 4:21, and not the album version, nor the John Luongo remix. It sounds like an edit (an early fade) of the "Mike ... See full review
